The day when the Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The congressman decided that the declaration of independence should also include a great seal. They wanted to have a way to sign essential government documents such as international agreements, and this seal was supposed to be used for that. Congress appointed a Great Seal Committee to make a two-sided seal design, and now both sides of the Great Seal feature on the one-dollar bill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How does the seal look?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The front side of the seal is a bald eagle with a\nstriped shield. And, the backside looks like a picture of an eye over a\npyramid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Eye on the Pyramid was the idea of Pierre Eugene Du\nSimitiere. He was a skilled artist and was brought into the committee in 1776.\nHe selected the Eye on Providence because he said it was a symbol of God\u2019s\nblessings over the U.S. This was the main thought behind the Eye on the Pyramid\nsymbol, which is now known as Eye of Providence. In 1782, the Eye of Providence\nwas chosen for the Great Seal.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1935, the dollar bill started to have the Eye of\nProvidence symbol. The new bills got introduced for financial and political\nreasons. The silver dollar got replaced by Dollar bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But there is an exciting fact that changed the meaning of\nEye of Providence, from God\u2019s protective Eye to being a Masonic God symbol. The\ntruth is that the president when the dollar bill with Eye of Providence introduced\nwas Franklin D.Roosevelt and he was a Mason.
